Welcome to Protaras

Protaras is a resort town in eastern Cyprus, known for its beaches (6 of which are blue flag) and for Fig Tree Bay with its old, lone fig tree. To the northwest, atop a rock, the limestone Church of Profitis Elias marks one end of a nature trail that leads to Konnos Beach. To the south, Cape Greco National Forest Park has clear waters and protected pine forest trails.

Protatas is about 10km from Ayia Napa, but it is a lot quieter and it has a reputation for catering more to families and domestic Cypriot tourism.

We have:

  • 340+ Days of sunshine
  • 19 - 32C Average Temperature Range
  • 20 - 27C Sea Temperature (Summer)
  • 6 Blue Flag beaches
  • The Clearest waters in the Mediterranean sea

We are:

  • 65KM (47 Mins) Drive from Larnaca airport
  • 8KM (12 Mins) Drive to the Town of Paralimni
  • 10KM (15 Mins) to Agia Napa

The town of Paralimni is a 12 minutes drive. Paralimni gets its name ffrom the fact that it was built next to a lake that dries out in the summer months. Paralimni's lake is home to the Cyprus Grass snake, which was declared extinct in the 1960s until being rediscovered in 1994.

The town square of Paralimni hosts a large church and numerous cafes, bars,  shops and a local museum. The main road from Paralimni to Deryneia is also lined with shops, cafes and supermarkets.
